Please read this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to learn how Terra Solar collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when using our website at https://terraenergy.io/ (“Website”), our Terra Solar mobile application (“Apps”), or any other website, pages, features, product or content owned and operated by Terra Solar (“Content”) that link to this privacy policy (collectively, including the Website, Apps and Content, the “Services”). By using or accessing our Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined below, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use and disclose your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Remember that your use of Terra Solar's Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Use, [https://terraenergy.io/terms]. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.
You may print a copy of this Policy by clicking here: https://terraenergy.io/privacypolicy.
As we continually work to improve our Services, we may need to change this Policy from time to time, and we will post the date it was last updated at the top of this Policy. We will alert you of material changes (e.g., changes that may restrict your existing privacy rights, or new uses for previously collected data) by placing a notice on the Terra Solar website, by sending you an email and/or by some other means required by applicable law. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Services after any changes to the Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes.

I. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We collect certain personal information (used interchangeably in this Policy with the term “personal data”) about you and your use of our Services. Personal information is defined by applicable law in the jurisdiction where you reside but generally refers to any information that relates to you, identifies you personally, or could be used to identify you. Only the definition that applies to your location of residence will apply to you under this Policy. The personal information that we collect generally falls into three primary categories: (1) information you voluntarily provide to us, (2) information we collect from you automatically, and (3) information we collect from third parties.
Information You Voluntarily Provide. We and our service providers that assist us in providing, maintaining, and operating our Services, may collect the following types of personal information from you:
Profile or contact information such as first and last name, email, phone number, mailing address and unique identifiers.
Energy utility company platform login credentials such as username and password, when you securely upload them to us in order that we may track your energy consumption and energy pricing, as further described in Section VIII below.
Consumer demographic information such as age and/or date of birth, zip code and gender.
Sensitive Information. When interacting with us in relation to our Services, unless specifically requested, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose to us through the Services or otherwise, any sensitive personal information such as Social Security Number, passport number, driver’s license number, or other government-issued identification number; financial account details or credit history; or information on race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, medical or health information, genetic or biometric information, political or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, background check information or criminal records.
Information We Automatically Collect. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we may automatically collect certain types of personal information about you when you use or interact with our Services.
Usage Data. When you browse our Websites, we automatically collect log data such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, domain names, referring and exit pages and URLs, pages viewed and the order of these page views, the date and time you access our servers, and other diagnostic data.
Device Information. When you use your desktop or mobile devices to access our Services, we may be able to identify your device’s unique device identifier, MAC address, operating system, and your mobile device’s advertising ID.
Location Information. When you use our Services, we may infer the generic physical location and geographic regions of your device from your Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other device settings. For example, your IP address may indicate your general geographic region. Upon your permission, we may collect your mobile device’s precise geo-location to find the closest property near you. You may choose not to share your location details with us by adjusting your mobile or desktop device’s location services settings. For instructions on changing the relevant settings, please contact your service provider or device manufacturer.
Information We Collect from Third Parties. From time to time, we may obtain information about you from third party sources as required or permitted by law. These sources may include:
Social Media. We may offer you the opportunity to engage with our content on or through third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications. When you engage with our content on or through third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture, gender) to deliver the content or as part of the operation of the third-party website, plug-in or application. When you provide information from your social media account, we may use this information to personalize your experience on our Services and on the third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications, and to provide you with other

IV. Tracking Tools, Advertising, and Opt-Out
The Services use cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs and JavaScript (collectively, “Cookies”) to enable our servers to recognize your web browser, tell us how and when you visit and use our Services, analyze trends, learn about our user base and operate and improve our Services. Cookies are small pieces of data– usually text files – placed on your computer, tablet, phone or similar device when you use that device to access our Services. We may also supplement the information we collect from you with information
received from third parties, including third parties that have placed their own Cookies on your device(s).
‘Do Not Track’. Please note that because no consensus standard exists, the Services do not support “Do Not Track” requests sent from a browser at this time.
We use the following types of Cookies:
Essential Cookies. Essential Cookies are required for providing you with features or services that you have requested. For example, certain Cookies enable you to log into secure areas of our Services. Disabling these Cookies may make certain features and services unavailable.
Functional Cookies. Functional Cookies are used to record your choices and settings regarding our Services, maintain your preferences over time and recognize you when you return to our Services. These Cookies help us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
Performance/Analytical Cookies. Performance/Analytical Cookies allow us to understand how visitors use our Services. They do this by collecting information about the number of visitors to the Services, what pages visitors view on our Services and how long visitors are viewing pages on the Services. Performance/Analytical Cookies also help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns in order to help us improve our campaigns and the Services’ content for those who engage with our advertising. For example, Google LLC (“Google”) uses cookies in
connection with its Google Analytics services. Google’s ability to use and disclose information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Services is subject to the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You have the option to opt-out of Google’s use of Cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page
at www.google.com/privacy_ads.html or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Many advertising companies that collect information for interest-based advertising are members of the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), both of which maintain websites where people can opt out of interest-based advertising from their members. To opt-out of website interest-based advertising provided by each organization’s respective participating companies, visit the DAA’s opt-out portal available at
http://optout.aboutads.info/, or visit the NAI’s opt-out portal available at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1.
You can also decide whether or not to accept Cookies through your internet browser’s settings. Most browsers have an option for turning off the Cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new Cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allow you to decide on acceptance of each new Cookie in a variety of ways. You can also delete all Cookies that are already on your device. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit our website and some of the Services and functionalities may not work.
To explore what Cookie settings are available to you or to modify your preferences with respect to Cookies, you can access your Cookie management settings by clicking [COMING SOON]. To find out more information about Cookies generally, including information about how to manage and delete Cookies, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/.
Information about Interest-Based Advertisements
We may serve advertisements, and also allow third-party ad networks, including third-party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms, to serve advertisements through the Services. These advertisements may be targeted to users who fit certain general profile categories or display certain preferences or behaviors (“Interest-Based Ads”). Information for Interest-Based Ads (including personal information) may be provided to us by you, or derived from the usage patterns of particular users on the Services and/or services of third parties. Such information may be gathered through tracking users’ activities across time and unaffiliated properties, including when you leave the Services. To accomplish this, we or our service providers may deliver Cookies, including a file (known as a “web beacon”) from an ad network to you through the Services. Web beacons allow ad networks to provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for us and for advertisers. Web beacons also enable ad networks to serve targeted advertisements to you when you visit other websites. Web beacons allow ad networks to view, edit or set their own Cookies on your browser, just as if you had requested a
web page from their site.
V. Data Security
We seek to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure using appropriate physical, technical, organizational and administrative security measures based on the type of personal information and how we are processing that data. You should also help protect your data by appropriately selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism; limiting access to your computer or device and browser; and signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data
over the internet or storing data is completely secure.
VI. Third Party Links
The Services may have links to other websites that are not operated by us. We have no control over how these third-party websites may collect your information and no liability for the practices, policies and security measures implemented on these websites. You should read the privacy notices on those other websites before you submit your information through them.
VII. Social Media Pages
Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, usage and disclosure policies and practices (including data security) of other organizations, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or any other social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider or device manufacturer, including any personal information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with our social media pages. Any posts you make on our social media pages may be available to others who use those pages. Never include sensitive personal, financial, or other confidential information such as your social security number, address, phone number or email address when posting or commenting online. Please refer to the privacy policies of our social media partners when you interact with them online.
VIII. Utility Company Portals
In order to provide you with our Services, we require you to provide us with your login credentials for your specific utility company portal, to monitor and collect your monthly energy usage and corresponding billing and pricing information. Before sharing your credentials with us, you must read and comply with your utility company’s privacy policy and terms of use. By allowing us to use your login credentials, and as described more fully in your “Residential Solar System Lease Agreement” with us, you acknowledge that Terra Solar is harmless in relation to
any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, reasonable attorney’s fees and expenses (collectively, “Losses”) made against or sustained by us arising from our use of your energy utility company portal login credentials, and your negligence or willful misconduct in complying with your specific utility company’s privacy policy and/or terms of use, including any utility company indemnification provisions you are subject to, is solely your responsibility.
IX. Data Retention
We retain personal information about you for as long as necessary to provide you with our Services or to perform our business or commercial purposes for collecting your personal information. When establishing a retention period for specific categories of data, we consider who we collected the data from, our need for the personal information, why we collected the personal information, and the sensitivity of the personal information. In some cases we retain personal information for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. We may further retain information in an anonymous or aggregated form where that information would not identify you personally.
X. Personal Information of Children
As noted in the Terms of Use, we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age; if you are a child under the age of 13, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services or send us any personal information. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 years of age, we will delete that information as quickly as possible, unless we have a legal obligation to keep it. If you believe that a child under 13 years of age may have provided personal information to us, please
contact us at hello@terraenergy.io.
XI. Privacy Requests
Your privileges in relation to your personal information are not absolute. Depending upon the applicable law, access to your rights under the applicable law may be denied: (i) when denial of the request is required or authorized by law; (ii) when granting the request would have a negative impact on another’s privacy; (iii) to protect our rights and properties; (iv) where the request is frivolous or vexatious, or for other reasons. You may exercise the following privacy requests:
a) Access. You may obtain a copy of the personal information that you have directly provided to us.
b) Correction. You may correct any of your personal information in our records and systems. You may request us to rectify, correct or update any of your personal information held by us that is inaccurate.
c) Deletion. Under certain circumstances, you may be able to request that we delete the personal information that we hold about you. This privilege is not absolute, and we may refuse your request to delete if it is reasonably necessary for us to provide a service requested by you; to perform a contract between us; to maintain functionality and ensure security of our systems; to enable solely expected internal uses of your personal information; to exercise a right provided by law; to comply with a legal obligation, or if there are compelling legitimate grounds for keeping your personal information.
To submit a request to exercise any of the above, please email us at hello@terraenergy.io and indicate which request you would like to make.
Identity Verification
To protect your privacy, we must be able to verify your identity to confirm that the request came from you before we can process your request to exercise certain privacy requests described above or that you may be entitled to under applicable law. We may contact you by e-mail to verify your request. Depending on your request, we will ask for information such as your name, address, an e-mail address or a phone number you have used with us. For certain requests, we may also ask you to provide details about your most recent activity with us.
