How it works
STEP 1
Terra puts solar panels on your roof and battery backup in your home. You don't buy any of it: we own it, maintain it, and insure it. Sized to your home's actual usage.
STEP 2
Switch to Terra the same way you'd switch to any provider in Houston. About 10 minutes. No service disruption, no truck rolls, no gap in your electricity.
STEP 3
Solar powers your home during the day. Your battery covers during outages. One provider, your equivalent rate drops to around 11¢/kWh, fixed for 36 months.
No purchase, no loans, or liens.
REAL SAVINGS
From day one. No loans. No equipment to buy. Just a lower bill and backup power when the grid goes down.

No loans · No equipment purchase · Cancel after 36 months

plain answers
No. Terra owns the solar panels and the battery. They go on your property, but they're ours to maintain and repair. You pay one monthly rate, that's the only change.
Your solar panels generate most of the energy your home uses. That production offsets what you'd normally buy from the grid, bringing your equivalent rate down to around 11¢/kWh. The panels are included in your subscription.
Your battery kicks in automatically. AC, fridge, and lights stay on. You don't do anything. Whole-home backup is included in every subscription.
Your rate doesn't go up. The 36-month term refers to the initial agreement period, after that you can continue as a subscriber without penalty. The only thing tied to the 36-month window is the VPP (Virtual Power Plant) credit, which is expected to be extended based on market conditions.
We fix it. Terra owns the equipment, so repairs, maintenance, and insurance are on us — not you. You're a subscriber, not a solar panel owner.
You switch your provider to Terra: same process as switching to any other electric company in Texas. We handle the transition.
