What do you mean you don’t sell solar?

We own, maintain, repair, and insure the entire system. It is very similar to when you contract ADT or Direct TV.

How long is the contract term?

You may cancel after 36 months. However, the agreement is ten years to protect you against excessive rate increases.

Do you use my house as collateral?

No. there is no lien. This is not a loan.

What if I need to repair or replace my roof?

You provide us with notice, and we uninstall and reinstall at no cost to you, subject to qualifications in the agreement.

What happens if I sell or move?

Your max exposure is 36 months. However, if the new property owner subscribes to Terra, you get a $500 gift card.

What happens to my roof if I cancel at the end of my term?

We remove the system at no cost and ensure we fix anything caused by the system.

What happens if the panels are not working?

Our commitment to you is that your system is always up and running. We are driven by customer satisfaction. If, for any reason, your system is down (unless you caused it directly), you would not be charged for that time.

Can I stop paying FPL (our utility provider) completely?

No, you remain connected to the grid. Typically, you will pay them a minimum monthly fee; for example, FPL is $25 to $30 monthly.

Can you design a larger system that I need?

We design our systems to meet your home’s consumption needs based on the 12-month average before our installation and we use a process called net metering.

Will I still have electricity if there is a power outage?

No. Your home will remain connected to FPL or your legacy utility provider. We must also prevent workers on the line from getting electrocuted when their power goes down.

How long does it take to install?

The actual installation is generally only a few days. What takes time is permitting, which is dependent on your municipality. We keep you informed throughout the process, from signing up to activation.

What will you be charging me for electricity and your system?

Neither. Your monthly subscription includes the solar system, maintenance, and management. The only electricity you will pay is the monthly minimum with your utility provider for remaining connected to the grid.

How long does the system last?

For as long as you remain a customer. We are responsible for maintenance and repair.

Will I lose electricity if there is no sun?

You will draw power from your legacy utility company since you remain connected to the grid with no sun.
